It turns out there is a cemetery located in our neighborhood, hidden behind several houses. The local historical society has been trying to gather as much information as they can, and I happened to go by while a group from the Indiana Geological Survey at IU were using their ground penetrating radar to locate where the bodies are located. Most of the headstones are completely broken, missing or shattered (there were only 9 burials recorded from 1852 -1874). You have to wonder what this neighborhood looked like while these pioneering families lived here.
